I have lived in Sydney all my life and always enjoyed to ocean. I have been a Maroubra Surf Life Saver since 1971 and have a passion for salt water.
For my 60th birthday, my son Tim bought me a book titled ‘Wild Swimming – Sydney’ by Sally Tertini and Steve Pollard, it lists their top 250 natural swimming spots in the wider Sydney region.
I am about to retire from work and one of my retirement strategies is to visit and swim at each of the 250 swim sites. In order to track my progress I have decided to blog each one with reference to the book and with my own particular feedback on each of the spots.
I have also decided to include swim spots not listed in the book that I think deserve a mention.
